The industrial automation sector is coming off a record year for robot shipments. Companies shipped a record 44,303 industrial robots to U.S. manufacturers last year, the International Federation of Robotics said. The IFR announced its latest statistics ahead of the Automate Show in Chicago, which opened Monday and runs through Thursday.
