Record high diesel prices nearing $7 a gallon are affecting businesses in Mid-Michigan, including the Saginaw Transit Authority Regional Services.
Jamie Forbes, director of external affairs for the Saginaw Transit Authority Regional Services, said the agency has had to make changes in the budget to account for high gas and diesel prices.
“In August, just from last year to this year, we’re up 37%, which is a huge change,” Forbes said.
