Autonomous, cab-less electric trucks are now hauling freight daily between EASE Logistics warehouses in Marysville, Ohio, marking a new phase in a multi-state effort to prepare interstates for automated freight.

Einride AB and EASE Logistics announced Tuesday, that SAE Level 4 autonomous electric trucks are live in daily freight operations in Marysville. The huge milestone advances the Truck Automation Corridor Project forward. The Ohio-Indiana Truck Automation Corridor Project is a joint effort of the Ohio Department of Transportation, DriveOhio and the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Two of Einride’s driverless and cab-less electric trucks are running scheduled routes on EASE property and local public roads, carrying freight between their facilities, without anyone in the cab. The vehicles operate while a remote operator monitors each truck off-site with the ability to step in if needed.
