British startup Advanced Electric Machines (AEM), which specialises in electric motors without rare earth materials, will unveil the 3D model of its largest and highest-torque motor at the upcoming IAA Transportation in Germany. The new electric motor set to be available as a sample for heavy-duty applications next year.
AEM has announced that it will unveil the next stage in the development of its heavy-duty electric motor technology at the IAA Transportation trade fair in Hannover, Germany, from 15 to 20 September 2026. To date, the British company has offered the HDRM150 and HDRM300C motors under its HDRM motor family for commercial vehicles and industrial applications. The new electric motor, now branded as Titan, is described by AEM as “the largest and highest-torque motor in the HDRM family to date”. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed further details such as the motor’s power and torque figures ahead of the trade fair.
The public premiere at the Hannover trade fair will be in a live-digital format. AEM has announced a detailed 3D model that visitors can use to explore the new motor to gain an initial insight into AEM’s next-generation heavy-duty platform. The first samples of the motor are expected to be available in the third quarter of 2027.
