Clemson University students unveiled a solar-powered electric vehicle that they spent almost two years designing, engineering, and building.

The project is part of the university’s Deep Orange program, which gives graduate students hands-on experience developing concept vehicles that address future transportation needs.

The Deep Orange 17 prototype, named Luminetta, was revealed Thursday after 20 months of development by students in the automotive engineering department.
