So … Technology is often predicted by sci-fi. Cell phones are communicators, computers can be held in your hand, cars can drive themselves (almost), robots clean your floor and pick your grapes, and your prescription will soon be dropped at your door by a drone.
So … you shouldn’t be surprised to learn that a team of researchers is advocating to use the moon as a secure site for biocontainment of extraterrestrial samples. The reason: its naturally sterile and remote location from earth will prevent potential catastrophes. See? another sci-fi story. But this one is real too.
