I grew up in Detroit Michigan. The Rouge River ran through a park not far from my house, and that dumped into the Detroit River or more historically correct the “Strait of Detroit.” That 28 miles of waterway connected Lake St. Clair, (big but not great) to Lake Erie (great).  My Dad was an avid fisherman and scuba diver, taking advantage of all the fresh water around us. Lakes were more common than swimming pools, and swimming in them was commonplace.

All this to tell you that when I read about water and the animals that call it home, I am immediately drawn in. If you’re of like mind or just curious, you’ll find three articles in this week’s Global Auto Mobility and Smart Mobility Today podcast that deal with water, how we use it, what’s on it, who’s in it, and how it relates to us and our lives. This is all part of our new Blue Dot program focusing on water safety and securiity. While you’re reading, remember that humans are composed of about 60% water!

Read more at Global Auto Mobility or listen to our companion podcast at Smart Mobility Today on your favorite streaming service.

And remember, the weather is getting warmer so, go jump in a lake.
