The Global Auto Mobility and Smart Mobility Today team spent the day on campus at Detroit’s Wayne State University just before winter break.

Much of our focus was on student groups:

  • What are they working on?
  • What are the students learning?
  • How is their hands-on experience contributing to their engineering education?
  • How is their experience with the groups and clubs going to make them better equipped to success in the changing world of work?

With the support and direction that we received from Myles Harper (Student Services Manager at the James and Patricia Anderson College of Engineering), and the people at Astemo, we met and interviewed students and professors – with a focus on groups and colleges that included:

  • American Society of Mechanical Engineers
  • Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
  • Wayne State Industrial Robotics and Automation
  • The Biomedical Engineering Department
  • Warrior Racing
  • Wayne Robotics

In February and March, we will feature video interviews from the day, putting a spotlight on the amazing innovation coming from Detroit’s largest research university.
