With the U.S. generating an estimated 60 million tons of food waste every year, Orbisk aims to make a dent in one of the world’s largest sources of wasted food. Orbisk’s technology is built to help professional kitchens cut food waste, save money, and run more efficiently. Its plug-and-play “Orbi” device uses AI-powered image recognition to automatically identify and weigh food being thrown away—more than 800 ingredients—without any manual input or training.
