The inaugural North American SPICE Conference took place on September 23–24, 2025, in Novi, Michigan.

Chad Kymal, NA Spice Chair and Omnex Founder and CTO, talks about his vision for the first SPICE conference to be held in North America.

ASPICE stands for Automotive Software Performance Improvement and Capability dEtermination.

ASPICE is a process assessment model for the automotive industry.

It provides a framework to evaluate and improve the development processes of software and electronic systems, helping organizations establish consistent quality and reliability by assessing their process maturity levels through structured assessments.

This first North American event marks a significant milestone for the automotive process improvement community.

The two-day NA SPICE event brought together professionals, assessors, and industry leaders to explore the latest developments in Automotive SPICE standards.

Speakers and working sessions focused on safety, quality, and security in embedded systems across software, hardware, systems, and mechatronics.

The team from Globa1 Auto Mobility and Smart Mobility today had the opportunity to meet with event organizers and attendees.

We spoke with Chandrasekar Krishnamurthy, Global Director, Product Management at BorgWarner, Kwangho Che, Chairperson of the Korean SPICE Network, and CEO of Quantum & Associates, Uwe Alfter, Director-Consulting Practice Europe for Knüvener Mackert , and Roxana Rohde, automotive software quality expert at iProcess LLC.
