Apple Inc. reportedly has scaled down its effort to make an autonomous electric vehicle, working instead on an EV with “limited” self-driving features, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people described as familiar with the company’s plan.

Moreover, an Apple AAPL, 0.69% car would only be introduced in 2028 at the earliest, Bloomberg said.

The company has switched to developing a car with a more rudimentary set of self-driving features, more in line with Tesla Inc.’s TSLA, -12.44% advanced driver-assistance systems for highways, the report said. An Apple spokesperson declined to comment.
