Michigan is dangling a $10,000 carrot in front of tech students, incentivizing them to stay in state and build the electric vehicle sector.
The state announced the Michigander EV Scholars program, its latest incentive to boost its electric vehicle workforce. Scholarships up to $10,000 will be awarded up to 350 top technology students at University of Michigan, Michigan State University and Michigan Technological University.
To cash in on these scholarships students must sign a one-year commitment letter to one of 15 participating companies in Michigan’s electric vehicle and mobility sector.
