The Biden administration is taking steps against climate change by proposing a greenhouse gas emission plan that would push some drivers to use electric vehicles by 2030.
Rules proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Transportation are expected to be released as early as next week, according to officials who were briefed on the plan.
Part of the plan from the EPA asks for 40 percent of all new car sales to be electric vehicles by 2030, according to one government official. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity as the standards have not been finalized yet.
