It seems that many motorists enjoy driving too much or are else suspicious of self-driving cars, according to a major study.

LESS than one in 10 UK motorists would feel safe in a fully self-driving vehicle, findings of a large survey suggest. And only 12 per cent would consider buying a car with such autonomous technology in the future, it is claimed. Importantly, 48 per cent of those at the wheel do not trust new driverless technology, with women (54 per cent) less likely to trust it than men (43 per cent). And those aged over 55 (58 per cent) are more than twice as likely to mistrust it compared with under 35s (28 per cent).
