Funded through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant, the project aims to enhance traffic flow, reduce energy consumption, and decrease emissions at key intersections across the city.

The EECBG program assists government entities in reducing energy consumption and emissions by supporting energy conservation initiatives.

In January 2024, the City of Palm Bay applied to utilize its direct formula allocation of $160,090 for traffic signal synchronization.

By March 2024, the City was awarded funding through the Voucher Equipment Rebates Program to synchronize seven intersections along Malabar Road and one intersection on San Filippo Drive.

The City of Palm Bay is dedicated to implementing programs that conserve energy in transportation, including the synchronization of traffic signals.
